Andrew Pepperday

BDS MJDF Dentist GDC No. 81819

Originally from Northallerton, Andrew qualified with his BDS degree at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2003. He then worked as a dentist in South Shields for 10 years, during which time he devoted a lot of time to training newly-qualified graduates to work in general dental practice. He also spent 2 years working a session a week at Newcastle Dental Hospital, training undergraduate students on the restorative dental clinic.

In 2012, Andrew and his wife Anna had a daughter and this initiated a move back to North Yorkshire to be closer to family. Andrew worked at Alpha Dental in Thirsk (which subsequently became Star Dental Care) for 4 years before then starting a role at Park Avenue Dental Practice, in Redcar, where he remains an associate for 3 and a half days a week.

In 2008, he gained the MJDF Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons, England and in 2017 he was awarded the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry, also from the Royal College of Surgeons, England.

Recently he has attended further courses enabling him to focus more on providing cosmetic treatments, such as simple Invisalign® orthodontics and composite bonding, both of which are becoming very popular and are areas which he is keen to develop further.

Away from dentistry Andrew enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is also a keen runner and other hobbies include playing the saxophone and snooker.
